Even though Summer is quickly passing on, there's
still a bounty of local produce in Vermont.
Our visit to Paul Mazza's farm stand in Essex Vermont
produced all the fixins for a delicious late summer repast.
We had a simple dinner this evening of farm fresh
tomato salad with garlic and italian peppers and a sugar corn
so sweet it hardly needed butter.
(We did butter it of course !)
The small pumpkins looked quite tasty though, can
hardly wait till we have roasted pumpkin ravioli in
sage butter.
The butter though needed to match the freshness and flavor
of the corn and Cabot Unsalted satisfied. Cabot is Vermont
farming beyond the produce aisle.
If it proves to hard to find the good people at
"Vermont in a Box" will hook you up.
